WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PLAYING IN THE BAND?
Learning to play an instrument is an enjoyable activity where the students involved in the music making process are in an enriching cultural, social and educational experience. Several of the students in the Mendez Band are leaders in academic achievement, school spirit, and club activities. We have had members in WEB Leading, National Junior Honor Society, Cheerleading, Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Track, Tennis, and other activities. While the benefits are many, learning to play an instrument is hard work and demands commitment and dedication.
